Canyon Lake: Day 3

Today was the wettest day so far... but was still full of fun activities!

Below: We were trying to catch catfish, but this alligator gar got here first...

Below: Here is 1 of the 3 catfish we caught... we're gonna have us a fish-fry soon!!

Below: Katie was trying to help catch 'bait' for the guys to use so they could catch the bigger fishies... unfortunately, she didn't have much luck.

Below: Nathan on the other hand caught one minnow! His first fish to ever catch!! He was super-excited!

Below: Nathan had quite an exciting day... he fell asleep before he could completely get on his bed!

FYI: Katie finally got the hang of riding her bike and has turned pro!! Congrats to Katie Bug!!

Canyon Lake: Day 2

Day 2 was extremely rainy! We are experiencing the outer bands of Hurricane Alex, and we think it may rain here for the remainder of our trip; oh well, a little rain never killed anyone but the Wicked Witch of the West... she melted. Please enjoy my favorite pictures from today...

Below: Nathan feeding the deer after we got back from eating breakfast at a Cafe because the camp-kitchen was soaking wet...

Below: Katie finally got one of the deer to trust her enough to eat out of her hand!

Below: This was when we got caught in a big rain storm and we took shelter at a nearby marina... we were there for an hour!

Below: Katie finally learned how to ride her bike!! She still needs a bit more practice, but she is catching on quickly now!!

Below: This is Katie and her friend Barbara swimming in the lake... they had been waiting almost all day for the rain to stop just so they could swim!

Canyon Lake: Day 1

The Super Silly Brown Family arrived at Potter's Creek last night!! Our annual 4th of July vacation has officially begun!

Today has been very interesting... but a blast! We've eaten, rode the jet-ski, went out on a boat, ate some more, went fishing, got rained on, then ate some more!! I am posting a few of my favorite pics from today... please enjoy!!

When he's ready, he's ready!

It does not matter where this boy is, if he's ready to go to sleep, he'll just go to sleep... in this picture Nathan fell asleep on the edge of our coffee table, and he didn't even finish his hot dogs. Isn't he precious when he's sleeping!?!

Another successful school year!

Today was Nathan's last day in Pre-K, and Katie's last day in 3rd grade!

Whoo-hoo! Nathan lost his 2nd tooth! Now he's officially lost both bottom front teeth!

He was SO super-excited that the tooth fairy left him a whole dollar!
