Super Silly Time of Year!

Halloween and Thanksgiving flew by with the blink of an eye for me and my family. One day my kids were running around collecting candy as a ninja and Peter Pan, and the next day we were celebrating our blessings at the Thanksgiving table with family and friends. Today, we set-up our indoor/outdoor Christmas decorations! Even though this time of year always speeds by like a Nascar race, it's my favorite time of year!

Yes, it is undoubtably the most stressful time of year, and my kids seem to want the most expensive elaborate hard-to-find toys imaginable, and my hubby cusses like a sailor while balancing on the roof just to hang our Christmas lights, and the stores are going to be crowded between now and the 2nd week of January, BUT, seeing all the sparkly lights, hanging stockings, saying 'yes' to my kids when they ask me if they can sleep under the Christmas tree tonight, and hearing Christmas music make it all worth it.

A couple weeks ago we got our family holiday pictures taken by our regular photographer, and tonight, I got the disc that had all our poses on it! My excitement was hard to contain, so naturally, I spent a few hours looking through all the pictures, then trying to match the pictures with the perfect Christmas card. I had gotten side tracked and stepped away from my laptop for about 3 minutes, and when I returned, my 11 year-old daughter had designed a really nice card!!

Now, throughout my years of 'motherhood', I have delightfully adopted a giddy nickname of 'SuperSillyMom', so I also designed a 2nd holiday card that would fit this title as well. 

Both cards are super-cute, and both cards are truly perfect for our family... but you can be the judge yourself when you get one or the other in the mail! Until then, please enjoy a preview of my favorite pictures from our super-silly family photo shoot...
